pooni na -- the pigs

ru'aru'a na -- the basket
huni ru'aru'a na -- the baskets
ru'aru'ani na -- the baskets

o'o na -- the drum
huni o'o na -- the drums
o'oni na -- the drums

The article is also used at the end of a possessive noun phrase.

poo Johne na -- John's pig
ru'aru'a Johne na -- John's basket
o'o Johne na -- John's drum
